E.O.PILATES

Services

Pilates and DNS programs built for you in Essendon.

Every client starts with a free trial session, then settles into a program created specifically for them. All sessions are only 4 clients at a time, everyone supervised, everyone working on their own program.

What is Pilates?

A low-impact exercise system integrating mind and body to strengthen, improve flexibility, enhance alignment, balance, and core stability.

What is DNS?

Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization is a movement rehabilitation exercise system that retrains the central nervous system to restore our body’s natural, efficient movement patterns.

01

Free trial session

1 hour · one to one · no charge

One hour on your own. We take time to discuss any relevant history, a movement assessment to help us get a clear picture of what your body needs, and enough exercise to give you a feel for what we do.

Wear something you can move in, grip socks if you have them.

02

Studio Pilates

Weekly or twice weekly

A Pilates program created specifically for you and adjusted as you progress, on the studio equipment and the mat. Four clients at a time, everyone supervised, everyone moving in their own time.

Most clients hold a standing weekly time.

03

Pilates with DNS

Integrated into your program

Where it helps, Pilates is combined with Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation to retrain the movement patterns underneath the exercise, rather than working around them.

Emily is a DNS Exercise Trainer, Rehabilitation Prague School.

Emily is a fantastic instructor, she assisted me to build strength prior to a hip replacement and I'm looking forward to returning when able.

Common questions

How much does a private Pilates session cost in Essendon?

Session pricing is discussed on your first call so it can be matched to a weekly or twice weekly program. Every new client starts with a free trial session before committing to anything.

Do I need Pilates experience before I start?

No. Pilates suits everyone from teenagers to clients in their 80s. Your first session includes a movement assessment so the program fits your body, not the other way around.

What should I wear to my first Pilates session?

Something you can move in, and grip socks if you have them. There is no need to buy anything special before your free trial.

What is the difference between Pilates and DNS?

Pilates is a low-impact system that strengthens and improves flexibility, alignment, balance and core stability. DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation) retrains the central nervous system to restore natural movement patterns. Where it helps, the two are combined in one program.

Can Pilates help with chronic pain or an injury I am managing with a health practitioner?

Yes. Many clients are referred by their health practitioner and Emily works alongside that care to support the recovery, adjusting the program as things progress.
